How Religious Is Your State?

Which of the 50 states in the USA has the most religious population? The Pew Research Center’s Forum on Religion & Public Life just published their state-by-state survey to rank each state on four measures: the importance of religion in people’s lives, frequency of attendance at worship services, frequency of prayer and absolute certainty of belief in God.

    Grace, thought about you when I saw that your State didn’t merit its own line. Maybe they couldn’t find enough people :-).

    Good question Jamie. I’d think it would have an impact. I don’t consider myself a “religious” person and that could influence how I’d answer the survey.

    I’m not really convinced of the validity of data like this. My own state, Texas, is pretty religious, #12 on the list, and most are lost. There are religious spirits and I think that can be in play as well. As a matter of fact I sometimes think it’s harder to reach the lost in “religious” areas because a lot of people think they know Jesus and the truth is…they don’t sadly
