Portland Makes the Colbert Report
For those who don’t know Portland, among other distinctions, we are a city of readers. And for a reader, we live in paradise. Not only do we have the regular national chains, but many, many independents including Annie Blooms in our neighborhood and Powell’s down in the Pearl which is the largest independent used and new bookstore in the world. They take up a whole city block and I don’t know how many stories high the building is — three or five.
Powell’s made it into the Colbert Report on Comedy Central the other day. Here it is.

Hahaha. I love Colbert. I order from Powell books all the time. Perhaps I shall order his book from them instead of from Amazon.
